Hart of St. Lawrence featuring Blackpool Spiced Rum
We’re excited to partner with Hart & Son Blackpool Spiced Rum for their launch at the LCBO! Similar to estate produced premium wines, Blackpool is an award-winning rum produced at a Single Estate Distillery in Guyana’s Demerara region and is 100% Demerara rum.
To celebrate the availability of this great rum in Ontario, we had our friend Reuben from Maple Leaf Tavern craft a cocktail with a nod to an iconic market in Toronto, so we hope you enjoy. This is the Hart of St. Lawrence:
Ingredients
2oz Hart & Son Blackpool
1oz Unfiltered apple juice
0.25oz lemon juice
0.25oz maple syrup
Three Dashes Angostura
Two barspoons of tawny port
3 slices of ginger
Instructions
Add all ingredients into a shaker tin and muddle ginger. Shake vigorously and strain into an ice-filled collins glass, topped with crushed ice and an apple fan garnish that has been dipped in cinnamon-sugar.
