    Appleton Express featuring Appleton Estate 8 YO Reserve

    Happy National Rum Day! We’ve partnered with our friends Appleton Estate Canada to bring you Appleton Estate 8 YO Reserve three ways. Here’s Amanda Chen (@missamandachen) of Salty Paloma showcasing the Appleton Express for a stirred cocktail. Ingredients 2 oz Appleton Estate 8 YO Reserve .5 oz Coffee Liqueur .25 oz Coconut Liqueur 2 dashes chocolate bitters 2 dashes orange bitters Garnish Orange peel Salty Paloma Sweetie Pie sugar rim Instructions Wet a section of the rock glass with an orange wedge and rim with sugar. Add all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice and stir. Strain into rimmed glass with ice. Garnish with orange peel. Cheers! Please enjoy responsibly.

    Happy National Rum Day! We’ve partnered with our friends Appleton Estate Canada to bring you Appleton Estate 8 YO Reserve three ways. Here’s Rebecca Felgate (@missrebeccaj) showcasing the Mai Tai Twist for a refreshing citrusy cocktail. Ingredients 1 oz Appleton Estate 8 YO Reserve 1 oz Trois Rivières. Agricole rhum .5 oz Grand Marnier 1 oz of freshly squeezed orange juice .5 oz of lime juice .5 oz of orgeat syrup Garnish Orange wheel Pineapple leaf Cherry Instructions Add all ingredients with ice to a shaker tin. Shake and strain into a rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with an orange wheel, flower, and a cherry. Cheers! Please enjoy responsibly.

    Estate Daiquiri featuring Appleton Estate 8 YO Reserve

    Happy National Rum Day! We’ve partnered with our friends Appleton Estate Canada to bring you Appleton Estate 8 YO Reserve three ways. Here’s Azalea Hart (azaleazoe) showcasing her version of the Estate Daiquiri for a tropical-inspired cocktail. Ingredients 2 oz Appleton Estate 8 YO Reserve .5 oz simple syrup 1 oz lime juice 1 oz mango juice Garnish Sprig of mint Instructions Chill a coupe glass with ice. Add all ingredients with ice into the shaker tin. Shake and double strain into your chilled coupe glass. Take a spring of mint and slap it to release the aromatics to garnish your cocktail. Cheers!     Hart of St. Lawrence featuring Blackpool Spiced Rum

    We’re excited to partner with Hart & Son Blackpool Spiced Rum for their launch at the LCBO! Similar to estate produced premium wines, Blackpool is an award-winning rum produced at a Single Estate Distillery in Guyana’s Demerara region and is 100% Demerara rum. To celebrate the availability of this great rum in Ontario, we had our friend Reuben from Maple Leaf Tavern craft a cocktail with a nod to an iconic market in Toronto, so we hope you enjoy. This is the Hart of St. Lawrence: Ingredients 2oz Hart & Son Blackpool 1oz Unfiltered apple juice 0.25oz lemon juice 0.25oz maple syrup Three Dashes Angostura Two barspoons of tawny port 3 slices of ginger Instructions Add all ingredients into a shaker tin and muddle ginger. Shake vigorously and strain into an ice-filled collins glass, topped with crushed ice and an apple fan garnish that has been dipped in cinnamon-sugar. Cheers and please enjoy responsibly!

    Hart of Chai featuring Hart & Son Blackpool Spiced Rum

    We’re excited to partner with Hart & Son Blackpool Spiced Rum launch at the LCBO! Similar to estate produced premium wines, Blackpool is an award-winning rum produced at a Single Estate Distillery in Guyana’s Demerara region and is 100% Demerara rum. To celebrate the availability of this great rum in Ontario, we had our friend Monica at Liquid Culture craft a cocktail that is a twist on the Blackpool Black Bird, which is also a riff on a Jungle Bird. This cocktail is perfect for the transition into autumn, so we hope you enjoy. This is the Hart & Chai: Ingredients 1.5 oz Blackpool Spiced Rum 1/2 oz Amaro Montenegro 1 oz Pineapple Juice 1/2 oz Pomegranate Juice 1/3 oz Lemon Juice 1/3 oz Simple Syrup 2 dashes Chai Bitters 1 pinch of Cinnamon Powder Instructions Fill your double rocks glass with crushed ice. In a shaker add all of your ingredients except the cinnamon. Give a vigorous shake and strain over the crushed ice. Top with a pinch of cinnamon. Cheers and please enjoy responsibly!
